The Knox is the epitome of the traditional country pub.
Starting off life as a farm, our two distinguishable bars have been carefully refurbished in recent years to provide a fantastic venue to unwind, socialise and dine! Our traditional bar boasts a beautiful fireplace & original beams to give an intimate and cosy feel.
Our full menu along with daily specials menu is served 6 days a week. Here you will find an excellent choice of real ales, lagers, ciders, wine and premium gin.
Sit back and relax with a range of freshly brewed tea’s and coffee’s and delicious snacks from our bar menu. We also offer live music in our main bar through the year, please check our Facebook page for upcoming live music events.

"We hired The Barn for a birthday party. From the date of booking through to the actual event, the team were friendly, efficient and happy to accommodate our requirements. On the night, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience: a fantastic pizza and chips buffet was served exactly on schedule, Chris and the rest of the bar team provided great service and the room was the perfect size for our group, with lots of character to make it better than “just another function room” plus a sound system through which we were able to play our preferred playlist. Thanks everyone."

We are dog friendly at the Knox
At the Knox Harrogate, we welcome every member of your family, this includes your beloved furry companion as they’re part of the family too! We are the perfect location to stop at for fresh food and a pint after a walk in the the Nidd Gorge or along the cycle path from Ripley.
You can relax inside or in the beer gardens and you will always find fresh water and treats available to help yourself.
